Larkspur Estate Pinot Noir
$65.00$85.00
Rooted in the valley since 1971
What began as twelve rows of dry-farmed vines and a stone crush pad is now a working estate of terraces, oak cellars and a slow, stubborn craft. Three generations of our family have pruned these same vines, picked them by hand, and fermented each parcel the way the season asked — never hurried, never blended into sameness.
Today Larkspur Vine and Grain bottles estate reds, terrace whites and a small run of barrel-rested spirits, all grown, crushed and aged within sight of the farmhouse. The methods have barely changed; only the hands have, passed from one generation to the next.

Winemaking
From crush to cask, all on the estate
Grapes arrive at the crush pad within the hour, ferment in small open vats, and rest in oak until they tell us they are ready. Come see the cellar where it happens.

Proper stems, proper pours, and room to breathe in our tasting hall.
Guided nosing flights that teach you to name what you smell.
Eleven parcels, nine varietals, each fermented on its own.
Hand punch-downs, basket presses, and time — always time.
A working estate, not a showroom
Larkspur is a farm first. Chickens patrol the vine rows, cover crops fix the soil between vintages, and the cellar runs on gravity rather than pumps. When you visit, you will likely meet the dog, the press, and whoever is topping barrels that day.
That is the point. Wine is agriculture before it is anything else, and we would rather show you the work — sticky hands and all — than a polished story about it.
The hands behind the harvest
Head Winemaker
Second-generation vintner; blends every cuvée and still tastes each barrel weekly.
Cellar Master
Keeps the oak program, the punch-down crews and the ancient press running.
Tasting Guide
Leads cellar-door flights and writes our harvest notes each autumn.
Founder & Vintner
Planted the first twelve rows in 1971 and still prunes alongside the crew.
Four answers, before you visit
Every bottle starts on our own eleven parcels — volcanic terraces for the reds, cool dawn slopes for the whites. Nothing is bought in, nothing is blended away from home.
At the cellar door Thursday to Sunday, at six partner tables across the valley (see the map), and at every Vineyard Event through the season.
We score each parcel on ripeness, balance and health at picking, then again at blending. Only lots scoring eight or above ever reach a Larkspur label.
Read the full story, meet the crew and plan a visit on our about page — or write to us any time through the contact page.
